31: A Village

Many visitors today. We are surrounded by warmth, by love. Soft hands reaching for our Evie, as she smiles back, open and trusting. I meant to clean today, and when our first guests arrived there were rice grains on the table. A few dishes in the sink. We had a good time anyway.

I neglected to bring home essays I meant to grade this weekend, so tomorrow morning will strike hard and fast. Best to bid a hasty farewell to Sunday night, rather than dwell on a sorrowful goodbye. Only three days to endure this week, and then a terrible holiday with wonderful food.
